![]() In Hollywood, it is very rare to find an entertainment producer who gives more focus on spiritual theme. Sammy Oriti utilizes his creativity in delivering the message of God through his films, shows and other forms of art. "We at WCH and G.O.D. are very honored that Sammy joined the cadre of illuminating honorees of G.O.D. Awards, we surely need someone who will represent the spiritual aspect of this awards.!", beams Maria Amor, Founder and President of WCH. Sammy Oriti has spent over 30 years in the entertainment industry, achieving great creative and commercial success in the worlds of film, music, television, stage, and the Internet. He creates, develops, and packages projects that span every entertainment genre. The major entertainment trade publications have covered him numerous times. He created the Warner Bros.’ Twice Emmy-nominated Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island, an animated hit series praised as “hilarious,” “intelligent”. The commercials he produced and directed for Fiat were lauded for their innovation, entertainment value, and selling effectiveness. Oriti also has extensive experience in the music industry. He is frequently asked to work at NRG Studios, an outfit whose clients include Jay-Z, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Melissa Etheridge, and Linkin Park. On top of that, he composed Godspeed, the sensational and scriptural rock opera. “My career started in a Jersey-based Bruce Springsteen tribute band,” he recalls. “But when I visited Los Angeles, I saw so many new opportunities to bring ideas from concept to completion – so I redirected my energies and I jumped in.” One of Oriti’s hallmarks is creatively melding the constantly changing worlds of both technology and business – a practice he successfully executes with consistency. For example, he combined the enormously popular science fiction genre with social networking and created MyOuterSpace.com. “It’s really a creative engine that’s part social network, part sci-fi news site, part video channel and part production company,” Oriti explains. “William Shatner is the face of it and we’ve built a community of fans and talents interested in molding the future of science fiction and fantasy.” Since its debut in 2010, the site has launched original properties and hosted international contests. He is the creative director at Illuminate Media, a new media company. Its headquarters in Studio City, CA, houses his offices and a live broadcast stage where he develops new shows and talents. "Illuminate has all the tools – content, talent, and equipment – to reach audiences equal to those of traditional broadcast television,” he said. Oriti has used his skills philanthropically, as well. He produced the first ever stream of William Shatner’s annual benefit event, the Hollywood Charity Horse Show, in 2011; musical guest Sheryl Crow reached 120,000 worldwide viewers in a single hour that night. Oriti also actively secures sponsors and partners for his projects. Companies such as JBL, AKG, Newtek, Artbeats, Genarts, and Vitec are brand partners with his various entities. Visits to his websites instantly display ads and promotions with major merchants. He works closely with product vendors in his arena and stays apprised of all new broadcast technologies. “Because of production partners like Panasonic, Newtek, and Harman Professional, we deliver broadcast quality visuals and audio over the web and even interact with the audience. Our sponsors love it because they receive great promotion and real analytics. “Five years ago, none of this could be affordably accomplished. I’m glad that I spent several years as a pioneer of the live stream,” said Oriti.
