We Care for Humanity and the G.O.D. Awards are extremely proud to honor and recognize H.I.R.H. Prince Gharious of the House of Ghassan as the "Noble Man of The Year" for his global humanitarian works and his advocacy to preserve Christianity in the Middle East.


About H.I.R.H. Prince Gharios:

Gharios (nee. Ahnume Guerios, the Portuguese transliteration of "Al-Nu'Man Gharios") was born in Brazil on 29 September 1973. Is the Sovereign Prince of the Christian Arab Dynasty of the Ghassanids, actor, director, producer, writer, musician, scholar, philanthropist and master of martial arts.

Is internationally recognized as the heir of the Ghassanid Dynasty, descendant and heir of Christian Arab Kings, Byzantine Emperors and also from the Lebanese Sheiks Chemor. His ascendants ruled from biblical times in Yemen until 1.747 AD in Lebanon. His legal name and titles: His Imperial & Royal Highness Prince Gharios of Ghassan Al-Nu'man VIII. His Royal rights and titles were recognized by the International Arbitration Award number 0413/2011 that, according with the Brazilian Federal Law number 9307/96 has the very same legal force as a Federal Court Verdict and according with the "1958 NY Convention on Arbitration" is a legal binding court decision in 142 nations in the world. Even being already "res judicata" (matter already judged not subject to appeal) by Brazilian Law, the International Award was recognized and enforced by the Los Angeles Superior Court in February 2012. (Los Angeles Superior Court Case Number BS-135337 of 02/24/2012). In 2013, Brazilian jurists signed affidavits recognizing the legality of the international arbitration award and Prince Gharios' rights and titles: a Chief Judge (former President of the Supreme State Court, former acting Governor of Espirito Santo state, Law Professor and current official of the Brazilian Association of Magistrates), two presiding judges and a former State Secretary of Justice (also former mayor and Law Professor).

Started in the martial arts (Judo) with only 4 years old. At age 9, began in the arts and was a pupil of his godmother, the renowned artist and jurist Judge Dinorah da Silva Porto who taught him various forms of art such as oil on canvas, sculpture, engraving, watercolors, carvings, etc.. He also studied with great masters such as spatula Mr. Ronaldo Autuori, having exposed woodcuts and paintings. 

He studied 10 years of his education at the Catholic School called Bom Jesus and, at age 10, attended the Children's Drama classes with Professor Armando Maranhão (founder of the Comedy Theater in PR) after also meeting with him several times in theater productions at the College State of Parana. Since his 11 years old he became interested in extracurricular subjects, becoming knowledgeable in many areas, having already made national and international conferences on various topics such as culture and Eastern philosophy, anthropology and comparative religion, history, unexplained phenomena, etc.. 

Currently, holds a Doctorate in Dynastic Law, several 'Honoris Causa' Doctorates and a PhD in Religious Philosophy. Was invited as visiting professor in several institutions, including the Catholic University of Parana State. Also attended College at FATEC International / IBEPEX studying Marketing and Propaganda. Wrote the only specific book about Dynastic and Nobility Law in English today, "The End of a Myth", with forewords by eminent jurists and diplomats.

Is Roman Christian but at the end of the 80's had his first contact with Buddhism. Initially studied Zen and later became in involved with the Order of Tibetan Buddhism Nyingma-pa (red hats). Considers as his guru (teacher), His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, from whom he received many teachings and initiations. Considers the Buddhism as a philosophy, not a religion.

In 1994 directed his first theater play. From 1997 he began to travel to the U.S. almost each month for business. There he met his other teacher and mentor, Steven Seagal. He was Seagal's personal student for 5 years. The Prince was recently promoted to the 5th degree of black belt in Aikido by his Master, Shihan Yoshimitsu Yamada 8th Dan and also holds black belts in Karate and Kobudo (ancient Japanese weapons). Also practiced Judo, Kung fu, Jiu-jitsu, Fencing and Silat.

Married since 2002 with the choreographer Viviane Petreca. Since the year 2000 has been devoted to show business working in different media such as TV, cinema, radio, internet, newspaper, theater, music, etc ... 

In 2013 was appointed as a Board Member for the Monaco Film Festival.

Is fluent in four languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian. Speaks also the basic Japanese, French and Arabic.

Gharios has received innumerous honors from all over the world. Some of the most important are:

* Brazilian Government (Parana State Senate) Award, 2012

* Kentucky Colonel, 2012 - The highest honor given by the State of Kentucky (USA)

* US President Awards, 2010 - Given by President Barack Obama for volunteer work "lifetime achievement" category

* United Nations Peace Corps Medal (Brazilian Army), 2009

* Brazilian Navy Veterans Medal, 2009

*Parana (Brazil) State Senate Merit Award, 2009

* Curitiba Municipality (Brazil) Sports International Merit Award, 1999

His passions are: the study of History, the martial art of Aikido and the game of Golf.
