With love for humanity, Maria Amor Torres, DK, DD Founder, We Care for Humanity Creator & Chairman, G.O.D. Awards Princess, The Royal House of Baloi We Care for Humanity (WCH) convoked the much anticipated 5th Annual Global Official Dignitary Awards (G.O.D.) along with the 4th Annual WCH Humanitarian Summit last October 20-21, 2017 at the three landmarks of New York: the historical United Nations, the UN Millennium and the Marriott.
Throughout Humanitarian Summit 7 topics under the theme “Sustainable Humanitarianism Towards United Nations 2030 Agenda” was highlighted with a mission of improving international responsibility and unity for each sector. The seven topics included: Human Rights, Eradication of Poverty, Women Empowerment, Education, Health, Peace, Green Environment. According to the WCH founder, HRH Princess Maria Amor, “A perspective is stunted and skewed by a group that stems from one culture, one race or one gender. When people are brought together to solve problems in diverse groups, they bring different information, opinions, and perspectives. Simply put, in the presence of diversity we are more diligent and open-minded.” The philosophy of Humanitarianism failing without diversity was a key theme during the ceremonies and highlighted by His Excellency President Vincente Fox 55th President of Mexico, during his closing remarks at the United Nations. “Uncertainty is only met with values, the human values we share with this community and the whole of the world community. Their values are not only shared by Princess Maria but it is her commitment and our commitment that these universal values prevail. There are many religions in this world but there is one single common denominator which is compassion, which is love for one another, which is brotherhood and which is building together this home.” Speaker, Prof. Arben Sulejamani said, “I am Happy that I could shed light on the topic of Peace and Humanitarianism at the United Nations and talk about my country, Albania, the Land of Religious Harmony and a national example for the rest of the world. The two-day celebration was facilitated by talented Master of Ceremonies; Actors-Jessie Miranda and Tony Taylor and Beauty Queen-Tia Lenae McDonald. Performances were diverse with an enchanting set by Frank A. Haye and The Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir, a solo Opera performance by Rachel Hippert and a native dance by Kinding Sindaw. This leads to the second WCH’s hallmark event of the year: The Global Official Dignitary Awards at the UN Millennium. The Proceeding commenced By Princess Maria Amor underscored the significance of the award ceremony: “The goal of the Global Official Dignitary awards is not just to glorify but to multiply! To flood the humanitarian world, before climate change does. To spark international agents of change for harmonious action with a collective of wisdom. Thank you all for coming and let us not forget the importance of impactful sustainability as we are collected here today” Honorees this year included:

Although everyone was dressed to impressed it was not forgotten that humanity is bestowed with the instruments, store, and intellect that has prospered great civilizations, forged innovations and cultured art since history began. Those qualities that have burgeoned an era where we now live in a global community, but as easily as technology has united us, we are sobered in the wake of revolution and change. In the midst of terrorism, poverty and social inequality the most profound hallmark; helping each other in times of both tranquility and calamity. It is apparent We Care for Humanity will continue to assemble some of the most brilliant, amicable people of this world to serve as a think tank to strive together to help each other and to protect Earth for future generations. Awards announces its 2017 HUMANITARIAN SPORTS ICON AWARD Honoree in the illustrious personality of Mr. Nabil Karam, President of Municipality of Rabieh. Princess Maria Amor, founder and president of We Care for Humanity and Chairman of the G.O.D. Awards declares: "Hopelessness, and isolation are byproducts of societal inequality and lack of opportunity. The spirit that we are born with, the force that motivates us all to seek empowerment, is imprisoned and drained in a battle to support oneself and our family because of inequality and exclusions. We must use our voices to trumpet the stifled dreams and aspirations of our family and community, and let it reverb undisturbed by the test of time, once when we begin to help each other. While the solution is simple, it requires passionate leaders like yourself, Billy Karam to spark such profound change. I have once heard a story about your trials and tribulations during the Lebanese Civil War in which you were kidnapped and everything was taken. However, when back home you made a diorama of a boat found in the garage which was the starting stone on fueling your path and success. We all have an opportunity to help our brothers and sisters in need in so many other ways. From empowering foster children, to improving early childhood education as well as promoting the growth of a vivacious community through sports, arts and humanities you have been fervently pushing forward for the sake of humanity. Awards announces its 2017 LATIN MAN OF AMERICA in the eminence person of His Excellency Vicente Fox Quesada, the 55th President of Mexico. Princess Maria Amor, founder and president of We Care for Humanity and Chairman of the G.O.D. Awards declares: "From growing up on ranch in Guanajuato to becoming the leader of a colorfully diverse, richly cultured and persevering nation, you have always had the heart and concern of your people as a priority. Perhaps it is in your humble and tangible origins that has transformed your love of humanity into a greater and positive lasting impact in our world. An unwavering drive to elevate not only yourself, but the entire country of Mexico. Your compassion for change and transparency honed an amalgamation of skills that are needed to run a government and become what is defined leader. Leadership, a profound position where true intentions would be revealed by action. What makes you a great leader is having the compassion and determination to manifest your dreams into a goal without malevolence or greed. A rigorous battle to maintain resilience; the ineffable ability to overcome opposition and misfortunes and still, returning stronger than ever, for the sake of fellow paisanos. Your Excellency, it is your personable and amiable style, your gracious and warming charisma, your numerous endeavors whilst leading the Mexican Nation and your magnanimous efforts in youth education, peace, and leadership advocacy that I have the pleasure to announce that the 5th Global Officials of Dignity (G.O.D.) Awards committee have reached a unanimous decision to recognize His Excellency, Vicente Fox Quesada, as the 2017 DIGNITARY MAN OF LATIN AMERICA. It is our strong belief that your accomplishments and distinct caliber of intrinsic leadership should be shared with and celebrated before the global audience at the United Nations". H.E. VICENTE FOX BIOGRAPHY: Vicente Fox, in full Vicente Fox Quesada (born July 2, 1942, Mexico City, Mexico), Mexican businessman and politician who was president of Mexico from 2000 to 2006. His term in office marked the end of 71 years of uninterrupted rule by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Fox, the second of nine children, was raised on a 1,100-acre (445-hectare) ranch in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. He earned a degree in business administration from the Ibero-American University in Mexico City and later became a route supervisor for the Mexican unit of the Coca-Cola Company. After a series of promotions, he served as the company’s chief executive in Mexico and then head of its Latin American operations. In 1979, however, he resigned and returned to Guanajuato. As Mexico’s economy struggled in the 1980s, Fox became convinced that the country needed new leadership, and he turned to politics. He joined the National Action Party (PAN) in 1987 and the following year was elected to the national Chamber of Deputies. After losing a controversial gubernatorial election in Guanajuato in 1991, he ran again and was elected in 1995. In 2000 Fox ran for president on a platform that focused on ending government corruption and improving the economy. At the polls he easily defeated PRI candidate Francisco Labastida Ochoa, and on December 1, 2000, he succeeded Ernesto Zedillo as president of Mexico. Fox focused his early efforts on improving trade relations with the United States, calming civil unrest in such areas as Chiapas, and reducing corruption, crime, and drug trafficking. In 2001 his administration introduced constitutional reforms that strengthened the rights of Mexico’s indigenous peoples. Although the measures were ratified by the necessary number of Mexican states, seven other states—including Chiapas, where more than half the indigenous population lives—rejected them. Advocates for indigenous rights objected to amendments that required indigenous peoples to act in accordance with the constitution and that reduced their autonomy in some spheres. Leaders of the Zapatista National Liberation Army in Chiapas—who had made constitutional reform a condition of their return to peace talks—also opposed the new law. In economic affairs, Fox’s proposals, particularly his plans to increase taxes as part of sweeping reforms to stabilize the Mexican economy and banking system, met fierce resistance in the Mexican legislature, where the PAN lacked a majority. There was significant progress early in Fox’s term toward bilateral cooperation with the United States on drug trafficking and illegal immigration, but the U.S. administration was skeptical of Fox’s calls for open borders with the United States and for the protection of the rights of undocumented Mexican workers (Fox was later criticized for statements perceived as encouraging illegal immigration). At the same time, Fox’s opponents faulted him for aligning Mexico too closely with the United States, a sentiment reflected in the vote of the Mexican Senate in 2002 to block a planned visit by Fox to the United States. The PAN’s lack of a majority in the Mexican legislature hampered Fox’s ability to secure enactment of his reform proposals. Although Fox’s personal popularity remained high, there was disillusionment with the slow pace of reforms, and farmers staged widespread protests over the perceived failure of the Mexican government to address agricultural inequities caused by the North American Free Trade Agreement. As a result, in the 2003 legislative elections the PAN suffered major losses to the PRI, further eroding Fox’s ability to push through his reforms. In 2004 Fox’s wife, Martha Sahagún de Fox, briefly considered seeking the Mexican presidency (Fox was constitutionally ineligible for a second term), but her potential candidacy aroused considerable hostility in the public as well as among political leaders. In 2006 Fox left office, succeeded by Felipe Calderón of the PAN. ![]() The 5th G.O.D. Awards announces 2017 SUPREME SPIRITUAL ICON OF THE YEAR in the person of His Holiness, the late Baba Hardev Singh Ji, the 4th Satguru of Sant Nirankari Mission. Princess Maria Amor, founder and president of We Care for Humanity and Chairman of the G.O.D. Awards declares: "Love is the greatest unifier and spiritual denominator for the soul of humanity. It is the moral compass that perpetually navigates us through the darkest of our days and transcends what our physical means cannot. For the greater portion of our lives, we struggle to find our wealth but a wealth that is greater than our brief existences is found in the accomplishments we make in life, in bettering ourselves and the ones around us. And while the future may be cast in shadow, faith is what keeps up moving forward when what lies ahead is unforeseeable. The incredibly wonderful trait each individual has is the spirit to help realize the potential of the fellow human. His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh’s contributions to world has irrefutably won countless battles and will forever provide humanity a source of direction when needed. The late Guru Baba Hardev Singh may no longer be with us but to live in hearts, we leave behind is not to die- Thomas Campbell. His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh’s compassion and love for humanity is embedded in our hearts and fellow Niranakri’s worldwide. I have the tremendous honor to declare that the G.O.D. Awards Committee have reached a unanimous decision to recognize His Excellency as 2017 SUPREME SPIRITUAL ICON OF THE YEAR. It is our strong belief that his accomplishments and distinct caliber of talent should be shared with and forever remembered before the global audience at the United Nations this 2017." Baba Hardev's Biography: Early Life Baba Hardev Singh Ji was born on February 23, 1954 in Delhi in the family of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji. As a child, Hardev was very fortunate to have worldly as well as spiritual blessings of his parents and also the then Satguru Baba Avtar Singh Ji and Jagatmata Budhwanti Ji as his grandparents. With the growth of child Hardev, grew his thoughtfulness and sobriety. He saw every object and observed every event with due curiosity but used to keep silent. Respect and regards for elders and the trait of humility could be noticed in him from the very childhood. Interest in congregations and listening to discourses of Satguru also became conspicuous in him. The kind and pure hearted child Hardev was never found spendthrift and emotional. Baba Hardev Singh Ji received his elementary education at home. Thereafter, he studied ats Rosary Public School, Delhi. In 1963, he was sent to the Yadvendra Public School, Patiala, a boarding school and an institution of national fame, from where he passed the high school examination in 1969. His co-operative and compassionate nature made him popular with the teachers and the fellow-students alike. His school education was equally supplemented and cemented with spiritual touch received through the letters of his affectionate mother, Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji. During his stay in the school, he also developed keen interest in mountaineering. This hobby added the trait of patience and perseverance in his life. He was never found tired or worried. He was also very skilful in vehicle driving, horse-riding and took keen interest in photography. On completion of his school education at Patiala, Baba Hardev Singh Ji returned to Delhi and started further education under Delhi University and also took keen interest in the socio-spiritual activities of the Mission. He became very regular in congregations (Satsang) and service to others (Sewa). His humility earned him the name 'Bhola Ji'. In 1971, He joined the Nirankari Sewa Dal as its primary member and enjoyed himself serving in cotton Khaki (brown) uniform. He organized "Youth Forum" in 1975, which focused on promoting truthful and simple living, service with devotion and love, refraining from incurring undue expenses and practicing prohibition. On the eve of the 28th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam in Delhi, on November 14 in 1975, Baba Hardev Singh Ji was married in a simple ceremony to Savinder Ji, daughter of devoted saints Shri Gurumukh Singh Ji and Smt. Madan Ji of Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. Born on January 12, 1957, Savinder Ji was well educated and duty conscious. Spiritual Mentor Baba Hardev Singh Ji became the spiritual mentor of the Mission when its Spiritual Master and a crusader for unity, peace and truth Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji had fallen to the bullets of some fanatic elements on April 24, 1980. Immediately after the cremation of the mortal remains of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji at the electric crematorium in Delhi on April 27, 1980, Young Hardev was greeted and hailed as the Head of the Mission and everybody present witnessed the Satguru already manifested in Him. Peace Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who was known for his calm nature, addressed the devotees as a perfect Spiritual Master. He said "Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji's martyrdom is the will of God. Perceptions differ from people to people. The ignorant say that it may lead to bloodshed but the devotees believe that being a supreme sacrifice, it shall usher in peace and harmony." He ruled out even the remotest thought of vengeance saying that 'it would go contrary to what Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji lived and sacrificed his life for'. He exhorted devotees to carry on His message of compassion, goodwill, love, truth and peace and pray for the welfare of one and all. The result was quite instantaneous and healthy. The devotees remained non-violent even in the face of serious provocations from fanatics. And when the day (24th April) came in 1981, Baba Ji ordained it to be observed as Manav Ekta Divas (Human Unity Day) and not as Martyrdom Day. The first holy discourse by Baba Hardev Singh Ji had far greater and much deeper significance and from the message contained therein, one could understand his vision of peace for the time to come. He gave call to His devotees to continue to spread the message of love and peace and pray for the goodwill of all. ![]() Two of the recent appointees of We Care for Humanity and G.O.D. He is without a doubt deserving of the Filipino Media Icon Award", said the princess. Here is one important testimony from a man whose life was saved partly because of Dr. Tago: “A blessed day to everyone. I am Dondon Lanuza. Perhaps you can still remember my sad experience when I was imprisoned for 13 years in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. I cannot relate the whole story because it is a long one. During those times, I felt so hopeless that the only things that kept me sane were my strong faith in prayers and some kind-hearted persons around me. One of them was Dr. Abdul Hannan M. Tago, who played a vital role in my freedom. He spent so much time doing so many things to ensure my release – writing and sending volumes of letters, translating my parents’ letters to Arabic, travelling, even personally approaching Princes to help gather funds for the needed bloodmoney, among others. He was one of the first persons to know when I would be actually set free. To all of his help, I and my family will always be grateful. I personally experienced how he spent his time, money and effort to assist us in our times of need. He works with sincerity, compassion, perseverance and dedication. These are traits of a leader needed in our Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia. If given the chance to be our Ambassador, I know that our OFW’s will be in good hands for they have someone highly qualified and experienced to attend to their needs. I can personally attest to that. Thank you and God bless Dondon Lanuza ex-OFW on Deathrow. In this capacity, he was invited by many Saudi Arabia’s friendly countries in Middle East, Asia and Europe, as a member of the media team from the Arab and Gulf countries. He was the lone Arabic-speaking Filipino journalist among the Arab media representatives. His Excellency, Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Honorable Dr. Evans Kidero, Governor of Nairobi County, distinguished guests, a pleasant evening to all of you. I am over joyed to be invited to this beautiful country as your honoured guest to this very important ceremony. Before I continue, allow me to share something to you. Exactly 2 weeks ago, I lost to sickness the most important person in my life. I am referring to my mother. She was my hero, the wind beneath my wings. In the inside, I am still grieving and not ready to face the world yet. But here I am, standing before you, because my mother wouldn’t want me to miss this day, to recognize someone who himself is a very honourable man among many people, near and far from Kenya. As the chairman of the Global Officials of Dignity Awards (G.O.D. Awards), we seek out leaders with passion and a lot of heart. We invite these leaders for their outstanding work within their country and/ or around the world as humanitarians to be invited to our annual gala at the United Nations and recognize their efforts. Today we are celebrating one leader in particular, The Honourable Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who definitely deserves today’s “African Dignitary Man of the Year” award. Allow me to highlight with you some of the notable achievements this successful leader is being recognized for. We can all agree that a leader can have many traits and qualities, but what stands out for me, is his PASSION. Passionate to help the people of Kenya. For example, launching an organization in 2005 called the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF), to sponsor education of brilliant students from needy backgrounds, and promote community development through the creation of a just, healthy, peaceful and democratic society. In the words of the great Nelson Mandela, who is also his friend.. – “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” You my dear friend have certainly done many impossible achievements. Such as leading peace dialogues in Sudan, which culminated in the birth of the South Sudan State as well as the Somalia peace initiative. His Excellency has demonstrated DEDICATION as a leader to his people where he served for a five year term running from 2008 to 2013 as the immediate former Vice President of the Republic of Kenya. A total of 3 decades, he has over the years served in a number of key cabinet positions, including, that of Education, Foreign Affairs and Environment. As well to have been recognized, for your leadership and your INTEGRITY, his Excellency was appointed in 2013 as the Honorary Chairman of World Eminent Chinese Businessmen Association (WECBA), which is a China-based organization bringing together global business leaders and philanthropists. Then in 2014 appointed by the Government of Cyprus as the Honorary Consul General for Cyprus in Kenya. Let me tell you my own experience of His Excellency’s good heart. While in New York for the G.O.D. awards at the United Nations. He came to my aid. I was experiencing severe stomach pain right on the day of the big event. Luckily, his Excellency brought medicine with him from Kenya and without any fuzz, he offered his help and he made sure, that I was all right to attend my own special event. Again, an exemplary leader with a good heart who cares for the needs of others. I want to personally recognize you for your GENEROSITY as a respected friend. It is with great pleasure that I stand here in person to celebrate and honour his Excellency for his many notable achievements as a leader and as a humanitarian of many good deeds. I truly believe the Honorable Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will represent the people of Kenya with integrity, with dedication and with his heart of generosity. If you allow me Your Excellency, I would like to take this opportunity to mention a few of the overflowing congratulatory messages I received from your friends, your co-honorees at the 4th G.O.D. Just like his friends, the great Nelson Mandela and Kofi Annan, he is the Man of Africa. I feel privileged to have him as my co-honoree at the recent 4th GOD Awards at the United Nations.. just as Kenya is privileged to have him as a leader.” Last one from Former Prime Minister of Nepal, Khil Raj Regmi, conferred as Asia’s Dignitary Man of the Year, His Excellency Khil Raj Regmi: “Leader to a leader, I have high respect for Dr. Kalonzo for he possessed the heart and mind of a brilliant leader and humanitarian spirit of a great person, which make a perfect combination to lead a country.” Before I end my speech, I would like to say to His Excellency that you can always count on me and We Care for Humanity, in your advocacies to eradicate poverty, to promote peace and green environment, to empower women and children, and to support your vision to have a FREE Corruption government.
